Your already encrypted data is transported to the servers using a second layer of encryption, a computer security technique commonly referred to as "layering" or "defense in depth".

Cyphertite is built to allow you, the individual, to take control of whether your data is private or not. The keys used to encrypt your data are available to you, and only you.
